While it has transformed entrepreneurship and global connectivity, it has simultaneously become a landscape dominated by addictive platforms and prohibited content. Individuals check their phones approximately 2,617 times daily, with growing research demonstrating severe mental, physical, and psychological consequences of internet addiction.
The Catalyst for Change
During an overseas trip, Uddin experienced a pivotal realization about the pervasive nature of harmful online content — from pornography to gambling services. He connected this phenomenon to Quranic teachings about Satan’s temptations, describing how constant digital engagement pulls believers away from their relationship with Allah.
Introducing Kahf Guard
The solution came through founding Halalz, launching Kahf Guard as the flagship product. This application and browser extension:
- Blocks pornographic, explicit, and dating content
- Filters gambling services and harmful material
- Prevents phishing scams and malicious hacking attempts
- Restricts intrusive advertising
- Creates distraction-free environments for children
Broader Vision
Beyond Kahf Guard, the company has beta-launched Kahf Browser featuring “Safe Gaze” — an AI tool that blurs immodest content. Future products are in development as part of building a comprehensive halal technology ecosystem.
