Online Safety Checklist

Use Child Account on Children’s devices

• Create a 12 year old account, set Location to Qatar.
• Use that to sign-into Google, Bing, Youtube.

Search Safety

• Sign-in to Google/Bing with child account.
• Set “Safe Search” from Google/Bing Setting.
• Setup Kahf Guard on your computer or mobile phone. It automatically enforces safe search.
• Use Kahf Browser to browse internet. It automatically enforces safe search.

Youtube Safety

• Sign-in as Child account.
• Go to Settings and turn on “Restricted Mode”
• Create a 12 year old account, set Location to Qatar. Use that to sign-into Youtube.
• Use Kahf Kids as alternative to youtube. It has 20K+ safe Youtube videos.

Social Media Safety

• Instagram
  • Settings > Private account – turn on private account.
  • Settings > Private account > Limit and Hidden Words — turn on.
• Tiktok
  • Settings > Private Account.
  • Settings > Restricted mode
• Discord
  • Settings > Keep me safe
• Messenger for Kids
  • For younger children, use this instead of Messenger.

Device level protection

• Ensure Anti Virus is working. Check Windows Defender is up-to-date.
• Ensure Operating System Updates are installed.
