The KahfGuard browser extension is one half of the KahfGuard parental-control product for Windows. It applies the website rules and daily time limits a parent has configured in the KahfGuard app on that same computer.
What the extension sends, and where
Everything stays on the computer it is installed on. The extension talks to exactly
one endpoint, http://127.0.0.1:58232, which is the KahfGuard Windows service running on
the same machine. That address is the loopback interface: traffic to it never reaches a network. The
extension contacts no other server, and Kahf Software Ltd receives nothing from it.
Two messages travel over that loopback connection:

The domain is a hostname only. Full URLs, page contents, page titles, form data, passwords, cookies, browsing history and search terms are never sent anywhere, and the extension does not read them.
What is stored
- On the computer: the current rule set, cached in the browser's own extension storage so the rules survive a browser restart. The KahfGuard Windows service separately records per-site minutes and blocked attempts in a local database, so the parent's dashboard can show them. That data stays on the computer and is deleted on a 30-day rolling schedule.
- Anywhere else: nothing. There is no KahfGuard account tied to this extension, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, no third-party services of any kind.
Data sold or transferred
None. Kahf Software Ltd does not sell, rent, or transfer any data from this extension, because no data from this extension ever leaves the computer.
Permissions, and why each is needed

Children
KahfGuard is a parental-control product, so it runs on computers used by children. It is configured by a parent or guardian on that computer, and it collects no personal information from anyone.
